Kayak Cobban Creek - (2 hours on-water explorer tour)
For those who are a bit short on time why not try one of our 2 hour get-away paddles to Cobban Creek?
The Hunter River is simply a great place to just paddle along and forget the rush of life for a while. In this 2 hour Explorer Tour we will kayak through some of the rarely visited corners of the Hunter Wetlands National Park that very few people ever see and Cobban Creek is one of those places. Hidden away under the spectacular mangrove canopy Cobban Creek enters into the little known world of the Ash Island wetlands. Our journey will meander along the channels of the creek while you enjoy exploring a secret place only accessible by kayak.
Your river-guide Glenn, combines the stories of a lifetime spent on the ocean with historical explanations of the Hunter River and the role it has played in the development of modern Australia and in his own life.
The Hunter Wetlands RAMSAR conservation area is an important stopover for many migrating birds in the spring and summer months with more than 200 known varieties documented.
No matter where you decide to paddle with The School of Yak it's always a great adventure, call us anytime to discuss your options for the day.
